I was born in Bogota, Colombia.

I am the oldest of my entire generation in the Camargo family. My parents were both successful in their respective careers; my mother was a lawyer and my father was an agricultural manager. We lived in a beautiful apartment in downtown Bogota, but I spent the majority of the weekends at the family farm enjoying the outdoors riding horses, climbing mountains, and causing my parents to stress about my whereabouts since I have always been a free spirited adventure seeker. The link between memories and fantasy, especially in the context of early childhood and a predisposition for Colombian magical realism play a huge role in the way I remember my childhood.

We lived a beautiful life, but outside of our immediate circle we were surrounded by chaos. Colombia in the 1990’s was a dangerous place and uncertainty for the future led to my family’s decision to uproot and move to the United States in 2001. Our family faced the daunting task of adjusting to a new culture, environment, and language which demanded resilience  and adaptability. Having transitioned from a world of comfort and financial prosperity to navigating financial hardship, we as a family had the challenge of re-establishing ourselves and carving a new life here in the US. We moved around a lot, starting in South Florida, then Maryland and ultimately ended up in the outskirts of Philadelphia, PA. I earned a University Grant to play soccer at Immaculata University. I played four years of varsity soccer at Immaculata University and graduated with an International Business degree.

I have always had a strong sense of patriotism and an inclination to serve in the military. This led to my decision of enlisting in the U.S Air Force and I shipped off to Basic Military Training in 2013.

In Basic Training I excelled. I was awarded as a Top Male PT for running the 3rd fastest mile and a half, and I had the honor of carrying the U.S Flag during the Airman’s run at graduation. I knew I had found my calling, but I could have never guessed that I would also meet the love of my life in the military. I met my wife Lyna while training in San Antonio, Texas, but we got assignments on the opposite ends of the country. I was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida panhandle and she was stationed at Travis Air Force Base, CA. We got married in 2014 to ensure we could be assigned together, and it turned out to be the very best decision of my life. We recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary and we have a beautiful 5 year old daughter and a boy on the way!

I served honorably in the military for 6 years, but ultimately made the choice to focus on my family after the birth of my daughter. I became a stay at home dad which is something I could have never imagined, but it may have been the most challenging yet rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. I share a very strong bond with my daughter and made countless memories with her. Despite being a stay at home dad, I enrolled in school and I earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from Grand Canyon University in 2021. I decided to get my Real Estate license shortly after graduation, and utilize my business knowledge and military experience to better serve my clients.

I believe in the value of consistently delivering results through a customer-centric approach, fostering trust and lasting relationships, while being my genuine self and attracting customers who want to work with me. I was honored to be considered a top producer in 2022 for sales volume and number of transactions. The most rewarding aspect of my career  has been the number of friendships that I have forged since I began this journey.
